Plant Ecology Section

This section carries out the ecological studies on Nepalese flora. Nepal is rich and unique in biodiversity due to diverse physiographic and climatic conditions. Altitudinal variation ranges from 60 m to 8848 m asl. This range affect in climatic conditions and ultimately to biological diversity of its areas. Nepal is a suitable spot to study the relationship between altitudinal gradient and plant diversity. Therefore, varied climatic zones became the centre for biodiversity study and research.
